We stayed here for 4 nights. It is an excellent base for south west Iceland. The apartments are lovely - clean, spacious and the heating is easily regulated! The owner is very helpful and friendly, and the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

We saw the good reviews on trip advisor, and they are so accurate. We had an apartment, though we did also have the breakfast on the first day, to save buying things. That was good. But the apartment just has all you need. A friendly welcome, everything clean and neat.
Our family stayed for two nights, and we really appreciated the clean, spacious holiday apartment. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but instead bought our own groceries, and made good use of the bakery down the street. The owner was very helpful with directions, etc., and my sons really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Frumskogar for two nights & returned for two additional nights when our trip around Iceland was upset by the eruption of Grimsvotn.
I loved the fact that there are apartments with their own living room, kitchen, & bathroom! They are so nice & very affordable. The apartment was great, but the icing on the...

We booked one of the apartment rooms for a one night stay. It was a last-minute booking, just the night before, so it nice to be able to book online via their website, whereas most B&B in Iceland's towns require email contact.
The room itself was amazingly spacious. It had a foyer, bathroom, kitchen, living area with TV and movies,...

It was great choice to accommodate here in Frumskogar... Staff was very friendly. Rooms were not small, were totally clean and on good level of equipment. Recommended restaurant Kjöt og Kúnst for a dinner (300m near) was excellent. The trip to the hill to have a bath in small hot river was unforgettable.
We stayed for 2 nights in appartment A (myself, husband and 2 yr old daughter) and my parents stayed in appartment B in mid-Aug 2009.
Both appartments were fantastic, spacious for 2 people but would accomodate 4. All pots and pans available in kitchen which we used for breakfast (possible to have breakfast in guesthouse for 1000ISK).
There is a...

Stayed here two nights in apartment A. It was the perfect place to return to after long adventurous day trips. Quiet, wonderful hot tub, nice breakfast, roomy and modern room. We wanted a small town stay and this was perfect, as well as Hveragerdi is a very interesting little geothermal town. Ten or so miles to the SE in the...

We stayed in a private apartment. It was clean and of reasonable size. We didn't use the kitchen but it was nice to know we had the option. The lady who runs the place is really nice and we enjoyed our stay here. It was also nice to spend a little time in the tiny town this guesthouse is located...
