Very nice hotel. Hosts kind and friendly, always helpful and ready to give information about the area. The room we had was large, clean and tastefully decorated, with a very nice view of the Meteora rocks. The location of the hotel is very good, right behind the railway station of Kalambaka, in walking distance of the city center.

The hosts were very welcoming, large rooms beautiffuly decorated, traditional breakfast, great view from the room's balcony, a good restaurant just across the street are the reasons to recommend this guesthouse. I will surely be back!

I was a little disappointed from the time we booked when I asked for some info on bus timetables and the response was: “It will happen”. Well it didn’t happen at all easily (8 hour wait at bus stop). We had difficulty finding the Guesthouse but they were helpful with advice once we arrived. The room was directly off the... More

Our room had a view of the Meteora from the sizable balcony and it was wonderful. The lobby/dining area felt like home where you could pop yourself up on a stool and make yourself a cup of tea or coffee to relax after an outing. You also can meet other guests there to get some tips. The best part of... More

We always research Tripadvisor before booking hotels and Monastiri Guesthouse lived up to its reputation! We booked the 2-room suite (there were 5 of us) and it was a great value for the money. The suite was very comfortable, clean with plenty of room for five. The view of the monasteries from our balcony was breathtaking! The owner, Dita, was... More

Everything about this hotel is perfect! The location is fantastic...3 minute walk to the town where you will find restaurants, cafes, and shops. The train station is a minute walk away...literally! The room makes you feel like you're in a traditional Greek home, but with all the modern amenities (they even provide a small, portable fridge to keep the free... More

The Guesthouse was great. We had a bit of trouble finding it as the street wasn't on the GPS, but once we got there it was smooth sailing. The couple that run the guesthouse are great hosts and made us feel at home immediately. The guesthouse is in a new area, and the streets are a bit dark at night,... More

Monastiri is so exquisitely appointed that, like the monks in their monasteries, i could possibly coop myself in it. But what trumps style is service: Dita picked me up at the train station, and brought me personally to the bus terminal, making sure i got to Athens for my boat ride to Santorini. Choose Monastiri, and you will not regret... More

The rooms were clean and brightly decorated and had a nice view of the Meteora Monasteries. The continental breakfast was simple but they did provide a complimentary large bottle of water and map before we headed out to the Monasteries (don't leave home without it as there are many steps to climb !). The outstanding feature however was the kind... More
