“Quirky French hideaway”

We stayed at Auberge du Lac in summer 2010 after a recommendation from French friends. This traditional hotel is small, family run and with a very personal touch. The reviews that prompted us to book this hotel were 'spot on'. Room was large with an excellent balcony with a superb view of the lake. The food was 'to die for'. Service was excellent and the waiters charming. The only down side would be if you are not an animal lover, as the auberge is home to numerous rescued... More

“Words don't describe this little hidden gem”

This hotel is one of the quaintest (for want of a better word) and picturesque I have ever stayed in, not to mention comfortable. The food was to die for, all home made, even the bread, and I have never tasted Creme Brulee like it ever since. I am going back in 2010 and simply cannot wait!
