As an adventure I went to Ribe by train from Copenhagen and was waiting for taxi near the railway station. After 30 minits a person on cycle who noticed me waiting came to and asked me for whome. Authentic, old, historical are all bad excuses for expensive below standard accommodation. No elevators, no telephones in the room (!) no easy access because of ongoing roadworks, bad quality linen and horrible pillows, bad taste all over, tiny old bathrooms. You would choose to come to the Hotel Dagmar because you think it's enchanting to stay in a period piece that's right in the center of Ribe. If you want modernity and a swimming pool, for instance, stay somewhere else. However, I have not been to a hotel anywhere that has easier, faster and cheaper (it's free) access to wifi.... More
