We were a group of 8 and reserved the apartment for 5 and a room for 3. The AC wasn't working properly in the apartment, so they did a good discount for us. We liked the installations and the rooms, and it is located in a quiet street (the Dominical's main street, in front of the beach, was crowded with... More

Thank you so much for your positive review! I apologize that the air conditioning was not working properly when you and your group were here. We have had it repaired since then, but I really was hoping we could have gotten it ready for you and your group. It was very unfortunate timing to have it break during Semana Santa.... More

We stay in the hotel for 2 nights, at the first moment we arrived we met the owner and the personal. The room was very nice, equipped with air conditioning and fans. The position of the hotel is perfect, just some steps from beach. More

About 17 of us students stayed for a month at Montanas de Aqua, the rooms were great, cannot beat the location, and the owners were the nicest people and very accommodating. And they make Great burritos! More

My wife and I arrived in Domincal a day earliier than supposed to. The place where we had reservations was full so the owner recommended us to try Montanas de Agua. We walked up to the front office where we meet Jesse. Very friendly! He was full but worked something out with his Uncle and was able to give us... More

Stayed at Montañas de Agua for only one night, passing through on the way to the Panama border (about 14o kms south of here). We weren't looking for anything fancy, and actually looked at a few other places before deciding on Montañas de Agua. This hotel offers an excellent value, and we found the price extremely reasonable considering we were... More

Thank you for the thorough review! We really appreciate the helpful info and feedback. Swing on by for your next border run! Also, a note for people that may get a little chilly, we do have blankets if you need them, but keeping the AC at a reasonable temperature is preferred. It is usually pretty warm here, but during some... More

We stayed at Montañas de Agua for two nights in the cabinas (not the air conditioned hotel). It was perfect. One double bed, one single. Shower bathroom with hot water. Good rate per night in high season. Hammock out front. Literally no more than a 2 minute walk to the beach. Free wifi and good reception. Self-prep kitchen. Nicely landscaped,... More

A great place to stay. A good distance from the centre of town (I.e no noise), but very close to beach. We previously had stayed elsewhere in town, and were so happy to find this place. Our room was clean, and the communal kitchen was great. Swear had hot water (though be careful touching the shower head). The owners were... More

We stated here for 9 days in Jan in one of the older Cabinas for $40/nt. The cabina is clean, comfortable with private bathroom and a fan, which was sufficient for keeping cool at the time we visited. The more modern cabinas have AC but cost $55/nt. The communal kitchen is not only a money saver, it's really social and... More

My fiance and I stayed here for two nights and wished we had stayed the entire week here. It was nothing flashy, of course, but its amazing for what you pay for! This was the cheapest place out of four places we stayed in while in Costa Rica and yet this was still the best. Jesse, who manages the place,... More

Perfect quiet place with a short walk into town. The rooms are clean and the communal kitchen is a bonus. Loved the courtyard to sit and talk to staff and other guests after coming back from the beach. Best coffee just across the road. Great town to relax and make instant friends! More
