We were going to use this as a "base of operations" to go visit Chiricahua Nat'l Monument and other places, but decided to just hang out here for two days instead. Good hiking trails. Great accommodations, and they'll fix you food if you haven't planned ahead for that.

I stayed in the yurt. It sleeps 10, has a tempapedic bed and others are comfortable. The yurt has electricity, sink with running water, dishes, microwave, CD player, plenty of tables, chairs. The outhouse toilets are a short path and no trouble, and an indoor toilet and shower for use at the "food shack" where meals and snacks can be... More

This is what a great B&B is supposed to be. The Cochise Stronghold B&B is the perfect balance of exotic and mysterious – comfortable and friendly – and uniquely American Southwest. The silence and clarity reminded us of the Sahara Desert, but our surroundings and accommodations at the Cochise were much superior. We stayed in both the Agave and Casita... More

My friend and i drove through a blizzard to get to the Cochise Stronghold, and found Nancy, the proprietor waiting in the snowy drifts of the lengthy driveway to guide us up to her retreat. we stayed in a small house with a wood burning stove. the next three days were truly blissful. we awoke to a sun on the... My friend Kathy and I recently stayed at Cochise STronghold at the end of a 10 day Grand Canyon road trip in Arizona. We found it a relaxing way to end our trip and a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Tucson, Bisbee, and the Grand Canyon. The yurt was great - funky but comfortable and airy. The... More

We had a wonderful stay in the Stronghold for three weeks in February/March 2012 in the Agave Suite. This B & B is situated deep in Cochise Stronghold Canyon - a 90 minute drive from Tuscon. Nancy and her helpers provided perfect hospitality. The bed was very comfortable and there were abundant linens supplied. The room was very clean and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for valentines and thought this was the best place find ever. Nancy is such a wonderland hostess. We stayed in the agave room it was very clean with a comfy home vibe. We sat in the jucuzzi on a cold night, sipped wine and watched the stars. Took a short hike ( we are... More

Regretfully, we only had one night in the Agave suite, which is a beautiful set of rooms with a great bed. Nancy is an incredible cook, so prepare for a breakfast (you get to choose!) so good that it alone is worth the price of admission! We only had time for a short two-hour hike, but the canyon was rugged... More

We stayed at Cochise Stronghold B&B for 9 days over the Thanksgiving holiday, and enjoyed a truly extraordinary getaway. The pristine beauty of the location with its fantastical rock formations, nature trails, and wildlife (deer, javelina, and heads up birders, there are birds galore). Starlit skies showcase the Milky Way in all its glory. We felt like we'd found the... More

The Cochise Stronghold B&B is truly unique. There are birds galore! I have never seen so many hummingbirds at one time. Spectacular view of the night skies, and of course the awe of the Cochise Stronghold mountains/rock formations, a true get-away from stresses in life. Part of its great charm and uniqueness is also its eco conscience owners. If you... More
