We arrived from the South Rim at 11pm and were greeted by two very nice women working the desk. Check-in was smooth and efficient. One of the women went ahead and gave us our Rafting responsibility waiver to have filled out for the morning when we checked in for our adventure. The room and bathroom are very clean and spacious... First of all, the trains do run all night, about every 20 minutes. It's not the train traffic itself that is the problem but the fact that they all blow their warning signals at the cross-roads. That's what keeps a person wakeful. Either bring earplugs, or take the hotel up on its offer to supply them. We were on trackside... More

This actually turned out to be one of our favourite hotels on our route 66 itinerary, despite leaving a load of clothes in the wardrobe which had a broken catch, oops! (the staff kindly and efficiently packed them and shipped them to my husband's sister company in Colorado). We arrived in snow after a disappointing trip to the South Rim... More

We stayed here with a Road Scholar group and expected a 50's Route 66 motel. This was a nice place; nicely maintained and clean. If you are on the side of the train tracks, you can hear the trains even with the A/C going. I used ear plugs (complimentary) and it was fine. On our return we had a room... More

It's difficult to review the Hualapai Lodge mainly because there really have no competition in their particular neck of the woods, or of Route 66, as is the case. Whether you're traversing Route 66 and need to stop in the middle of nowhere, or you're planning to visit the Grand Canyon west of the National Park, there really aren't all... More

We stayed here just for one night with a family of 5. Wasn't sure what to expect from a hotel in a almost deserted are of historic route 66. We stayed here because we wanted to go to Diamond creek ( only road where the car goes all the way to the bottom of the grand canyon and you can... More

This hotel is very impressive for a small hotel. It is small, very well-kept up, and the restaurant is very good. It, however, is in a terrible location. It's in a very shady and very poor town, where you are nervous about leaving your car overnight. Also, it is right next to train tracks, and the train travels every 15... More

Great comfortable beds! New soft, fluffy comforters and excellent pillows. Yeah, I heard the train a few times during the night, but it's the only hotel /restaurant in town! Skip the pool-like a concrete exercise quad in jail. Little fitness room was fine for some free weights before you tackle the trail. Excellent black bean veggie burgers in the restaurant.... More
