The Caverns are interesting. The food at the Caverns is good. Skip the motel. It is a dump, pealing paint, a fleet of bicycles that don't work, a swimming pool you have to clean yourself. Many things don't work and nothing is kept up and nobody cares.

We have looked for the motel for almost an hour, It's written that it is in Peach Springs but when we arrived in Peach Springs There wasn' t the motel and neither a sign of it...we drive for about ten miles on Route 66 in the dark but there was no trace of it, so we went to Hualapai Lodge... More

A group of us stayed at the Caverns the night before heading to the Grand Canyon. It was like stepping into the John Cusack movie "identity". It looks like it hasn't changed in about 30 years. It was clean and comfy enough, and if you are looking for a place to stay enroute to the Canyon, this is fine. There is... More

We spent one night here on our way to hike to Havasu Falls. It was pretty run down. Looks like nothing much has changed since the 60's. We had hoped to eat breakfast in the restaurant before heading out for the hike but since it doesn't open until 7am we decided to skip it. The store opens at 6am so we... More

I loved this hotel!! It's not a 5-star, uber modern hotel, but it had charm and nostalgia like no other! Vintage 60's....you can just imagine what it was like in its hay-day! A little run down, but only because its off the beaten path and traffic has died down on Route 66. The hotel has some "gimmicky rooms (in the... More

I'm a native Arizonan who had never seen the Grand Canyon. I had originally planned to stay at the Grand Canyon Railway for my family's visit to the GC, but the budget wouldn't allow for the expense to do it right (i.e. pay for a package that includes train fair and meals and lodging). I had to find a more... More

I stumbled on the opportunity to sleep underground in the cavern suite while researching our trip to Arizona and immediately knew we had to do it. The cost was pretty steep, but I think it was worth it as it will definitely be something our family will remember forever. Our hosts were waiting for our arrival and after a warm... More

I loved it, my wife hated it. To her it was grubby and something out of the set for psycho before he kills his victim up the hill. To be serious the motel is as it was from the1960's and needs upgrading for today's standards. Maybe it is a protected buiding I ask? The rooms were clean but the furnishings... More

The room was simple and appeared to be clean. Its location is about 70 minutes from a side canyon to the Grand Canyon. There is not much else near this place so if you like to be away from large cities, then this is the place!

We have mixed feeling about this place. At first we were a little shocked that it was the original "motel" from the 60's. Our room was OK - still very 60's - but that is the look they are going for. I do hope they will get rid of the cigarette smoke smell that was very present in that non-smoking... More
