Las Malvinas is an hostal, not an hotel. Rooms are a bit small and old. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast room is also kind of family room and the atmosphere is cool. It is perfectly situated in the town center. All in all it's a good hostal. More

The rooms here are tiny for the price but Ushuaia is hugely expensive so that is to be expected. The location is great and the front desk staff were very hospitable. The breakfast is terrible - only a couple of medialunas and toast. All in all, average. More

Not a wonderful hotel, in fact quite old-fashioned (which gives some charm), and some renewals would benefit the hotel. However, the hotel is quiet, clean, well located very near the city centre (but slightly apart so there's not much street noise). Staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast is clearly improvable. On the whole, the hotel is OK (especially considering... More

I spent 2 nights with my partner in this hostal in January 2011. Room and bathroom are spacious and very clean. Location is excellent in the center. Breakfast is a little poor, but there is free coffee-tea-water 24 hours. The owner and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay in this hostal. More

The staff is super-helpful, and the location could not be better. Decent breakfast in a funny little lounge. Our flight out was late at night, and they invited us to use the lounge & bathroom as much as we needed (while also storing our luggage) on that last day. We also unexpectedly had a tv & wifi in our room.... More

The other hotels I stayed in while visiting Ushuaia were booked for me by the antarctica tour company. This one I booked myself. It was very reasonably priced ($60 us) for a double bed or two single beds ( I moved rooms) in a little clean room with a shower. The rooms are on the small side -- if you... More

The Hostel Malvinas was the perfect hotel for my four day stay in Ushuaia. The rooms were spotless. The hotel staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The view of the harbor from my window was perfect. And the price was very affordable. More

I was just in Ushuaia for a week of skiing from the 24th of July to the 31st. I stayed at the Hostal Malvinas at Gobernador Deloqui 615 and couldn't have been more pleased. This is a small hotel with an excellent location, just one block from the center of town and the main drag San Martin. Also it was... More
