We stayed at the Lupama B & B for 2 nights and were happy with our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff go out of their way to help you and make sure you are comfortable. For the most part the staff speak spanish , this was a problem as we did not know any spanish !.... More

I made a reservation on about 02/24/2011 and was charged on the day. Then I needed to change my plan and asked to cancel the reservation on 02/27/2011 and got confirmation. The cancellation was two months before the supposed check-in day . but the hotel refused to give me refund till now. That is I want to remind everyone who... More

I stayed at Lupama with my daughter. The room was confortable, clean and quiet. Had a bathtub which was useful after the tours. The breakfast was very poor and just until 9:00 am!! But the staff full of young people was very helpful and attentious. We could walk to town but would get a cab to come back, because of... More

I am from Brasil. My wife and me slept three nigths there. I don´t recommend. BAD things: - There was just 1 TV channel, despite the ad of the hotel publicize cable TV; - They don´t take credit card. For example, to pay the minitrekking excursion, we had to withdraw 900 pesos in downtown to booked it; - The food... More

I stayed here with my sister last year and whilst it is not on main drag it is only about a 10 minute walk downhill. You can always get a taxi back from El Calafate as you save a lot by staying here and it is a good value option if you can't do or feel too old /shy to... More

There is not any Internet access in your room. To use your laptop, you must access the Internet at the reception lobby and breakfast area. The hotel is located 2 km from downtown. It does not provide transportation. So, you walk or ask the receptionist at the front desk to call a taxi. Cost 10 PESO one way. Rooms are... More

With a family of 4, I prepaid for a triple room for 3 nights. Upon arrival and having filled in the registration form, I was shown a room with a king size bed. Even though the price of the room was different from what I had paid, and that there was no way of fitting the family in, I was... More

My husband and I had an excellent time at Hosteria Lupama. It is small--only 12 guest rooms--but clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely pleasant and accomodating. Every morning we had a traditional Argentine breakfast and always shared a bottle of wine in the evening. We stayed over New Years Eve and were so surprised to be offered a very... More

Staying at Lupama was great!!. Its location is perfect for the magnificent view at the Argentino Lake and at the Calafate Mountain. Our room was very comfortable, the staff very polite and the owner very helpful when giving us tips for all the excursions. Breakfast was delicious with homemade bread and pastries. Highly recommended for everybody!! More

Hosteria Lupama is horrible. My partner and I booked two nights and left in the middle of the first night to go to the Kempinski to recover from the ordeal (at an extra expense $400). We heard dogs all night the windows are paper thin. The accomodation is in the middle of nowhere, bedding is dirty, the safe didn't work,... More
