We have been here for 3 nights. Gerardo and his family were very nice and helpfull. They made our stay very pleasant. The first night Gerardo waited till 01.30am as our buss arrived late. Also they took care of recommending and arranging tours in El Calafate. We stayed in one of the cozy cabbins. There isn't much space, a (small)... More

Having read reviews, the cabin did not disappoint! After getting the heating going, it was a lovely place to stay and so much fun. The breakfast was simple but fine, and we can also recommend the lunch box and dinners. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful when needed. It was cleaned daily, which was a nice surprise. The only... More

We were in Las Cabanitas for 5 days. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hostel is located near the bus station in the city center. Gerardo and his father Edoardo are always available to satisfy every desire. Every evening Gerardo proposes a specialty at very affordable prices with excellent results. Must try the trout with herbs! Gerardo is... More

We spent 5 days in Las Cabanitas and it was like staying at home. Gerardo and his family were welcoming from the start and made us feel at home. The hostel is clean and well located and has a beautiful garden full of lavender. We also had dinner two times piacare of the hostel and Gerard found an excellent cook.... More

Great value and charm. Love Gerardo and his dad, both kind and very helpful! Charming little A-frames. My only friendly suggestion is to raise the price a dollar, and include a hard boiled egg and a banana or other piece of fruit for breakfast, to prepare for a long day out.

The Cabanitas are really cute! We stayed there twice: once in one of the cute little cabanas, second time in a room. The facilities are clean, heated, internet is available in the main buildng (not in the cabanas). You get free tea all day long. The owner is really adorable and helps you organize trip etc. He is really passionate... More

This is a great little spot! The owner Geraldo is fantastic, he really went above and beyond to help us organize outings and adventures. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is a fantastic value and perfectly comfortable. The space is sweetly decorated and the garden is a welcome oasis. We found it quiet and cozy and would... More

We did a fair bit of reading and checking on El Calafate hotels before booking Las Cabanitas for a three night stay, booking via email about a month in advance and then re-confirming a week before arriving. However on arriving, around 8pm, we were told that the owner had made a mistake and not marked down that we had asked... More
