I went there a few weeks ago, mainly to visit the glacier national park. The breakfast was quite poorly. Some toast, coffee that wasn't that good and not very cosy. Also it was pretty expensive for the quality you get. The location isn't that great as indicated. You have to pass some strange streets with drunks and dogs which isn't... More

let's face it: El Calafate is a 2 night stop over, get there and the next morning hit the glacier, get back and get out. The hostel staff was very helpful and forthcoming, the common area is very pleasant and the wifi strong and stable. it's not a bed an breakfast, but you get some coffee and jelly w/bread, the... Clean and confortable hostel, the price is more than reasanable for the calafate. The bathrooms are big and you have a good PC/internet connection (quiete rare for patagonian hostels). However, the kitchen is not well equiped.

I have had a nice time there, stayed for couple of nights on the 1st floor and am not complaining about noise. Yes, the price is a bit higher for the service provided, it is situated a bit away from the center, but be sure to admit that the rooms are clean, the kitchen is big and nice, the lounge... More

We stayed in this hostel for a few nights in a double room, after the first night we moved from the first to the second floor because of the noise from above. The room was ok and clean, but nothing special. The same counts for the communal area and the kitchen. There are probably better places to stay in El... More

The room we had was basic, but clean. It is located on the first floor, so we suffered from the noise above, and when asked to change to another room upstairs, the answer was "they are all taken" though I doubt it was true. There is a kitchen, but I had the feeling that owner did not want anyone to... More

As other reviewers commented, if you can find another place to stay, do so. The only reason this place still exists is because of the huge demand for rooms during high season in El Calafate. If you must stay here, it's imperative to get a room on the 2nd floor. Rooms on the first floor suffer from noise from the... More

Good room, atrocious service. There are no towels, no soap, poor service, and breakfast provided is best suited for anorexic squirrels on a diet. There are significantly cheaper, and superbly greater lodgins available in the area. Don't pick this one if you can help it.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. We had an adequate room but the front room was a nice place for wine and cheese using the wireless. The service was good - helping us organize our glacier bookings, and generally giving good advice and being useful
