First thing is if you want to see the whales you really should stay in Puerto Piramedes itself rather than Puerto Madryn. We came in early December, end of the season, and stayed for four nights. “Comfortable self catering - some reservations”

We stayed for 5 nights in November in the new(ish) apartments. There were enough facilities to be able to self cater if you wished to - gas rings, microwave & large fridge with ice box.
