This was the best hotel of our trip to Northwest Argentina! Beautiful and clean rooms, doors that would open to a beautiful varanda with views to the hotel garden and the mountains. Delicious and complete breakfasts (breads, cakes, fruit salad, eggs, etc), friendly staff.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- La Posada de Luz is in Tilcara, in the heart of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, which was declared Natural and Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. It was categorized with three stars by the Tourism Department of the Province of Jujuy, and it has 6 double rooms, triple rooms and a quadruple one. Its owner, Luz Manfredi, knew the area in 1985, while on a trip to Cuzco, and since then she was in love with the landscape and the culture of the people. The project to build an inn in the “quebradeña way”, i.e. with stone foundations, adobe walls and mud cake and cane roofs grew through the years, and it took shape in January 2004 with the opening of the Posada de Luz with its 6 rooms whose main charm are the terraces from where you get a panoramic view of the hills around Tilcara. Since then we have received in the Posada people from all corners of Argentina and the world, many of whom are now great friends of ours. ... more less
