Sadly my family and I only stayed at Estancia Santa Maria for some 24 hours. It is a beautiful and very well run estancia. The house is really beautifully decorated and appointed. So wonderfully authentic, familiar and warm. The house staff are caring, courteous and helpful. The food, from breakfast to dinner was great. The evening asado at the quincho... More

A very warm welcome by the ladies who run the guest area. A lovely house with 3 bedrooms was available to us (party of 5). The living room was gorgeous. It was like having your own home on the Argentine Pampa. After arrival a fantastic BBQ-lunch was prepared for us, lots of real good meat. After lunch they take you... More

We had a great time at this place. We enjoyed the colonial style of the house, the open fire place in the living room and the good food. Best of all were the horses and the gauchos who we could join and experience their everyday work. Good advice for everyone who likes a little luxury and still wants to get... More

We arrived not knowing much about the place but were blown away from the minute we arrived. First thing - it is truly a remote place, some 40km from Gualayguachu, 30 of which are down dirt roads. We were greeted by Silvia & Susanna who were great hosts throughout, despite not speaking much English. Food during the stay was first... More

The team at santa maria are just fantastic and they spoiled us rotten from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. The food, cooked by Silvia is amazing and her husband who's one of the Gaucho's is a master on the asado and cooks some of the finest meats known to man! We rode everyday, starting off with... More

We've stayed here 3 days. Amazing place! Be aware, the staff does not speak English. We don't speak Spanish, but everyone is very helpful in giving you a wonderful experience. I'm an experienced rider, but also if you are not, you can ride. The horses are quick, but very reliable. The home cooked food by Silvia is tremendous. Wonderful gardens... More

My wife and twin 11 year olds arrived at Estancia Santa Maria at the end of three busy and amazing weeks in Argentina. We did not think our holiday could get any better, but our four days at Estancia Santa Maria were the most perfect end to an extroadinary trip. The horses were well trained; my horsey daugher was challenged,... More

We discovered Estancia Santa Maria somewhat by accident, but Pago Argentonis made it happen for us. We were travelling from our home base in Singapore, which already counts for 30 hours of travel time. Hence, another 2-3 hours of land travel to Gualeyguachu would be a drag. However, all of it proved to be a great experience. First, the hosts... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and were completely spoiled as had the whole estancia to ourselves. Experienced horseriding around the estancia, had an authentic bbq with one of the best pieces of beef we had in Argentina, waited on hand and foot and relaxed by the pool. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we had a... More
