Firsty, don't be tricked by the flashy outside of the house and BMW. The inside is a grubby infestation. Firstly, the kitchen is disgusting, cheap, unsanitary. The stove is a 'temporary' hot plate (in which only one works (if you even call it working)) but has rust and scum all over it. The Microwave is the most disgusting thing i've... More

The son of the owner talked to us on the bus station and promised that they have wonderful rooms with tv and direkt close to plaza independencia. We got to the hostel and took the room because it was already late in the evening. The owner promised that it's a quiet family hostel... NOT TRUE! The beds were terrible...there were... More

This hostel has good prices, but everything else is horrible. I felt like I was harassed daily by the people who work there (the owner, his girlfriend, and his sons). They constantly barged into the dorm rooms and used the private guest's bathrooms there; I felt like I had no privacy. They smoked in the house, yelled at me and... More

I don't have many comments on the hostel because I didn't actually stay there. It was overbooked and he told us we had a problem over the loud sound of his son and his girlfriend watching very loud tv. He had beds in the dorm for us for three times the price we would pay for a private room. He... More

Ariel who owns the hostel is very friendly and offers really good advice on tours and day trips. The hostel is not the best of locations but is only about a 5 or 10 minute walk from the city centre and is cheaper than other hostels in Mendoza. There is a free, very basic breakfast. Hostel is cosy although the... More

There are a lot of negative reviews of this hostel online. I however didn't find it that bad - but it surely wasn't good either. I got picked up from the bus terminal and the bed I chose in the 12-bed dorm was quite alright. The owner was trying to be really friendly, but has a kind of amiable way... More

Free pickup from the busstation! A very safe and secure hostel, with locked gates which means it is actually closed for everyone who does not have a key to the front gate. Breakfast whenever you wanted, and a pool which you could actually use and swim in! Great! A very spacious, clean and beautiful backyard with lots of tables, chairs,... More

Even on advertising materials it looks pretty well almost everything what was advertised (or maybe all) was not true. The owner behavior was very strange, your fat son was downright annoying, breakfast was poor, advertised wine for free was really disgusting, etc. In addition to all those mentioned above the landlord took from us 180 USD to give us (four... Strangest hostel I have stayed at..and I've stayed at a few. Although billed as a family hostel, this is one family I would not want to be a part of. The owner is inappropriately friendly with the female guests, asking one of my friends to sit on his lap. At the same time he has very public arguments with his... More
