This hostel is in a great location, in a nice old historic building with an atmospheric staircase up to the hostel.
The front reception area and front common area are nice but things go down hill in terms of standards the further back into the building one goes (the old tinted glass walls are nice) . The single private out...

First room we had was very noisy and dirty, without airco. For a small extra charge, we could change rooms. This room was much better, cleaner and with aircon.
Shared bathrooms and kitchen were old and often dirty, especially the kitchen.
However it was quite cheap and the staff was friendly.

The location is the best part of this place... it is located on a small side street in San Telmo, walking distance to the Microcentro (Plaza de...

I really enjoyed staying at Hostel Tanguera. It's a small hostel - only about 20 beds and Oscar and Laura create a great environment. Breakfast is served in the mornings, the rooms are cleaned and the guests are not really party animals, which makes it a nice place to stay. It's a two story walk-up, but once you get there,...
