We were disappointed about the distance from Stellenbosch Taxi drive (organised bij the B&B) are very expensive . After 18.00 hours there is nobody off the staff availeble . Eaten at Volkscombuis is a must!

We were a bit disappointed by the size of the so-called superior room. Nice balcony and view, but small room. The bathroom had small bath and shower, nothing special. Me and my brother had a wonderful time in Sugarbird Manor, we really didn't know what to expect but we we're blown away by the gorgeous view and location when we got there. Wow, this hotel is a real gem. We were keen to escape the hussle and bussle and noise of Cape Town and we found the perfect place. The pool area is lovely and peaceful and overlooks the beautiful winelands and with great mountain views. It is also incredibly quiet except for the hum of a tractor or the chattering birds.... More

Agree with many of the other comments. Corne was away when we stayed, but the girls were good hosts. The gardens were delightful: great swathes of agapanthus that were just coming into bloom. They don't do evening meals, but they have an arrangement with the nearby Devon Valley Hotel, who came and picked us up and took us home after.

Top location outside Stellenbosch. The gardens of Sugarbird Manor are really amazing. When you drive into the property you are surrounded by the most beautiful exotic flowers. Near to the manor is Clos Malverne, the best place for wine and food pairing in Stellenbosch area.
