This is a stunning location, but there it stops. Service and food is really of poor quality. Rooms do not have Coffee & Tea stations, No Televisions. Clients complained about dirty rooms. More

We spent 4 nights in Swartberg Country Manor for Easter, and it was exactly what we were looking for: the location and the view are stunning, it is very quiet and relaxing, there are plenty of things to do in the area, but it has much more to offer: we were warmly welcomed by Colleen and her staff, Morne in... Me and my wife are pensioners and recently has done a tour through the small and great Karoo. We had booked a stay-over on 20th March at Swartberg Country Manor and found it a stunning experience! On arrival we were introduced to our very friendly host and manager, Colleen Smith. She suggested us to first relax with a drink on... More

Perfect accomodation, very frendly host lady, beautyful area. The restaurant (esp. The volstruis steak) are DELICIOUS) the rooms are really 4 stars worth. If we come back, we we will stay again in this lodge! Bart & bieke and Maurits & Willem More

We stayed at Swartsberg Country Manor for two nights and we really enjoyed it. The host was incredibly hospitable.........came to greet us when we pulled up, invited us for a drink, took care of our bags........took every effort to make us feel welcome. The dinner was excellent as well, with a good choice and a fine wine selection. It was... More

We stayed in the "Bakhuis" honeymoon suite (their top room). It is a separate small house located in a paddock with 2 ostriches and chicks resident. Lovely as this seems, their dung encourages a lot of flies, so the deck was not used very much. The room was small, no separate toilet, no wardrobe (we were there for 3 nights),... More

We were so looking forward to our stay here, we were booked in for 3 nights at the end of Januart. The scenery at this hotel is simply stunning but as for the rest I don't know where to start. We had travelled 5 very hot hours to get to the hotel. When we arrived we were not offered a drink... More

What a special evening we had! WOW, from the moment we arrived at the Manor, we were personally welcomed by Colleen and her team, made us feel right a home! We were then taken to our Honeymoon Suite, (this was for our 6th aniversary) and we were taken by surprise! An old little 'bakehouse' was renovated to be our suite,... More

My wife and I stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for two nights as part of our honeymoon. We were welcomed by Jan, the owner, who immediately made us feel at home. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. This guest house is a hidden gem. It is situated in the shadow of the Swartberg mountains - with majestic panoramic views... More

We stayed here for one night as a stop-over and that is probably all I would recommend it for. As a previous person has written the accommodation is so far out of Oudtshoorn that we didn't really have an option to travel for dinner so we agreed to eat in the restaurant. That turned out to be a big mistake.... More
