The hotel is located within walking distance of the town centre and near some restaurants. When we visited for 2 nights it had had been partly refurbished but there was a way to go to bring it up to standard for its grading. Our room overlooked the garden/swimming pool and was quiet. The room was a good size with two... More

The Pearl of Oudtshoorn Hotel changed ownership in 2012. (Previously African Sky Hotel Oudtshoorn) The first phase of the refurbishment has now been completed with all new furniture, decor and guest amenities in place. Guests rooms are fitted with new television sets, furniture, beds, air-conditioners, telephones, curtains and linen. Guests will not be effected with the ongoing work (mostly behind... More

For all the pretentiousness, with accompanying snobbishness, this hotel does not live up to what it aspires to me. Rooms are cold, service staff behave as if they are doing one a favour. Breakfast not good.

One night stay here and thank goodness not any longer. Tired, tatty rooms. Breakfast OK but not up to standard of a 4* hotel. They have done up the outside pool area but neglected the inside. Location is convenient and therefore easy to acess better restaurants outside

We stayed here on our Garden route trip and found it neat & comfortable. We had twin connected rooms which were very convenient. The town is very scenic and the hotel gives a nice feeling of the town atmosphere. The staff at the hotel and the restaurant service was fine. we were not too impressed with the menu and found... Decor was nonexistant and/or shabby. There was a guest-courtesy computer in the lobby, but a charge to use it (and also to use own wireless in the hotel room or the lobby). Shampoo etc. was in foil packets, not bottles. Our room with 2 queen beds had but one blanket--which we didn't realize until the middle of the night when... More

Very poor hospitality, bad services, everyday you will find something not working. When we complained about the same, the manager said Big Sorry but i think just sorry doesnot make sense since it spoiled our holidays. The problem is not only with one room, every guest was not happy anout something everyday. Telephone, Door Knobs, Bathroom Taps, Heater - these... More

Stayed at Oudtshoorn Inn & Resort for sports event in Oudtshoorn and was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and knowledge of their town where they sponsored some rooms for competing atheletes. Their manager (I hear he is new) takes a hands-on approach that makes this largish place very personal. I've also noticed that they use local artists... More

wasnt sure what to expect...having booked this hotel for quite a cheap price online....but was definetly Not disappointed! Clean and comfortable, and located within Perfect walking distance to a good restaurant like Kalinka, or Jemimas. Only stayed one night, but it was perfect for our needs. Its on the road to the Cango Wildlife Park, and also the ostrich farm,... More

The hotel has perfectly adequate American style motel rooms, which are a little dated but represent good value for money. The best thing about the hotel is the proximity to Kalinka restaurant just across the street, where we had our best meal in South Africa - it's fantastic! Btw I think the rooms overlooking the pool and not on the... More
