“The very last and most terrible night of our 17 day trip”

Even though George lodge is fairly easy to find and the reception staff was decent ,this does not make up for the terrible night we had here. “Not what we were expecting.....”

On arrival, all looked neat and tidy. However we soon realised a few issues, first of all how uncomfortable the beds were and then our window did not shut. In fairness, they moved us to another room. We refer to our previous correspondence and reiterate that the beds conform to the requirements as stipulate by the South African Tourism Grading Coundil. This was the most expensive hotel of our holiday and the worst by far. The pick up from the airport at George was the only good thing about this place. The beds were so hard the mattress had no give in at all. The rooms were freezing and the heater was an old thing which when turned on lit up... More

In reply to the review we have noted the contents thereof and reply as follows. We have once again just had our establishment graded by the South African Tourism Grading council who have found our establishment within the three star grading. Our mattresses are of the best quality and are accepted as the norm for 3 to 4 star graded... More

the Lodge is soo beautiful, located just outside the perimeters of town for peace and quiet but within walking distance to the Town and Tourism centre. will most definitely recoomend it to friends and family. More

I made a late reservation at the George Lodge and was pleasantly surprised at the comfortable room and convenient location. I particularly enjoyed the good breakfast and appreciated their effort to my allergy related dietary requirements. More
