I recently spent my 40th birthday at 23 loader Street, de waterkant viallnage. The accomodation and venue is awesome for a relaxing get away and to certainly entertain guests. Unfortunately on the day of my birthday durng the day, we where broken into while some one was in the accomodation and stole a mobile and camera. It was reported to... More

Dear Guest We completely understand you bitterness with regard this unfortunate incident that occurred during your stay as, although this was completely out of our control, we do naturally feel bad that this happened. As soon as you reported the incident the general manager contacted the police and the local security patrol company and as soon as they could all... More

I stayed at 90 de Waterkant with three friends to celebrate a special birthday in January. While the accomodation was good, we were let down by the management of De Waterkant Cottages. On the day of my birthday our wallets weres stolen out of our bags - in the kitchen - while we were upstairs in our rooms! Did not... More

Dear Ilona, We are really sorry that this had happened to you during your stay with us, however, we feel that it is important to put our side of the story forward and hopefully this will give a more balanced view of the events 1. As previously mentioned we take theft very seriously and this has not happened before. Upon... More

We were a group of 9 motorcyclists touring South Africa in early November 2012, and started off our first three nights at No. 40 & No. 42 Napier Street. We were able to take advantage of the connecting door between the two cottages to open it up as one property. The location of the cottages was just perfect, with views... More

Stayed at 115 Loader Street. Spacious 2 bed 2 bath with terrace at the front and a shared pool at the back. The house is in the middle of the picturesque old town (De Waterkant). The neighbour hood is safe and central. We could walk around and enjoy the restaurants, bars and shops at all times of the day. The... More

We (two couples) stayed at 4 Bayview Terrace for 6 nights in September. Wow what a great find. The house was very well presented and clean and had three bedrooms, a pool and a couple of fabulous decks with views to table mountain and the waterfront. The deciding factor on choosing this particular property in De Waterkant was the garage.... More

Found De Waterkant Cottages on Trip Advisor - stayed at 40 Napier Street for 5 nights. This was perfect for our needs - allowed us to explore Cape Town and find good food to eat, plus have a very comfortable place to stay, with each of us having an ensuite room at at least half the cost of a hotel... We stayed in 75 Loader Street for 4 nights in late May, early June. Booking process online was easy and efficient. We had beautiful weather and were able to walk to Long Street and the V&A waterfront. We walked about 5 blocks to catch the red hop on and off bus to Table Mountain and Camp's Bay. We walked to... We stayed here for some nights and were a bit disappointed. The rooms and bathroom were spacious but almost no decoration. The location is good and central, not far from the waterfront, but the area self is not so touristic with a nice atmosphere.

Thank you for your feedback which we always appreciate. Unlike a hotel room each property is completely different having its own unique character. Some places are traditional with more interior decoration whilst others have a minimalist design and feel. We know everyone does have different tastes and we do hope, if you do choose to stay with us again, you... More

We recently stayed in De Waterkant for several days at the end of our trip to South Africa. The area is like a little village in the middle of a busy city, with cobbled streets, historical houses and original boutique shops & restaurants. It felt very genuine and not at all touristy, like the Waterfront and Camps Bay, both of... More
