The owner is very friendly and professional. Esperanza is centrally situated in Oranjezicht, close to the city, vibrant Kloof street and has easy access to all major routes out of the city. This is one of the nicest and friendliest guest houses in Cape Town. Our vacation started here and it was a great welcome, even our cases were carried in and upstairs - a real help after an 11 hour flight. The owner is very friendly and the guesthouse conveniently in Oranjezicht (close to town). Breakfast is good and plenty and I can recommend this place for a easy, nice stay in Cape Town... “Stately beautiful home, close to the city and a view to die for!”

Esperanza was a great chance to stay in a beautiful 100 year old home turned B&B. Stately, very comfortable and very clean. A view on the foot of Table Mountain and Cable-car in the back and the City and Harbour in the front. Janet`s breakfast were unbeatable, fresh, hot and there was a terrific variety!A definite must!

Choose your room carefully, some rooms have showers, some don't. There is no air con, we called up to see if they had fans, to which they confirmed. When we arrived, we were given a desk fan!! The "splash pool" and sun deck is two sun loungers squeezed in next to a small splash pool which is on the pathway... More
