if you are seeking an all night party place - this is your hotel - however if you want to sleep look elsewhere - the hotel is across the street from the two noisest bars on long street - they party until 3am (loud music) then yell and chatter till 4am - got very little sleep - this is unfortunate... My Husband and I stayed at Urban Chic for just 1 night after our stay in the Winelands. I was slightly apprehensive about staying on Long Street as it seems for for those looking to party all night long. The hotel, however, provides the perfect balance for a night of luxury. We asked for the room with the best view... More

Dear management (and all the team at Urban Chic), I wanted to thank you for making my stay at your hotel so pleasant. Clearly a great team of people, highly efficient and welcoming. It is rare to have so many staff who all do such a good job. From the reception staff, to the bar staff, to the guy working... More

We arrived by taxi from the airport (20 minutes away), check in was quick and easy and the guy in the desk was very informative. We had a corner room on the 5th floor which had a great view. The bedroom was large, had AC, tv with satellite, hairdryer and dressing gowns. The bathroom was really nice with a big... More

Very much enjoyed my two night stay before going on Safari. The only drawback was the close proximity to the late night partying on Long Street. I was aware of this beforehand, but with ear plugs it was tolerable. I was also lucky to be in the best room in the house, 602. The view of Table Mountain thru the... More

Really good location and lovely reception staff who really do want to help you and ensure that you get see all of the beautiful places in Cape Town. The only negative is if you have a front room and the noise from the late night bars on Long Street, so if you want quiet request a back room but you... More

Although relatively good value for money some basic concerns which could easily be addressed include: - old stained carpets - towels smelt musty and were not clean and fresh - the shower had mould and mildew and was never properly clean On the positive side the breakfast was great, view of the mountain amazing and it is situated on a... As a family with young kids, we were a bit concerned after reading the reviews from other guests on Trip Advisor. However, we really had nothing to worry about. We called and explained our concerns to the hotel manager and she put us on the top floor, where we had no problems with the noise from the street. The rooms... More

Walking into the hotel, my first impression was that it was not clean. There were finger and hand prints on all glass surfaces. in the room, the carpets were dirty. We slept on the 6th floor and complained twice about a foul odour in the corridor and in the lift. For a 4 star rated institution, we never felt our... More

Central hotel and within walking distance of some tourist attractions: Company Gardens, Castle, Green Market Square. Within walking distance to train station which was very convenient for trip to Simons Town. The hotel was nice. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was fine but as with all hotel breakfasts, it got boring after a while. A lot of the negative... More
