I spent 5 days in Cape Town and booked this guesthouse by the recommendations of my tour guide. He was totally right about this place!
I got room #7, it was big and fresh, with very nice furniture and an amazing bathroom/shower. The staff is very friendly, always with a smile in their face and eager to please.
The place...

A modern, fresh, friendly place where attention to detail is everything. Great interior design, personalised service, a lovely setting and big spacious rooms. This is a small gem of a place. Very highly recommended!

On first impressions Cape Standard was perfect. Large room, large bathroom, views towards the sea, very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful. Location of the guest house was good, however the restaurants were about a 10 minute walk away and the Waterfront about 20 mins, although it was very easy to call a taxi, either the guest house would...

We had their largest room and it was very comfortable and had a really great shower. The atmosphere is low stress with great music playing and modern decor. The breakfast was good, the pool way too small, parking very limited. The staff was very helpful in planning our days and arranged a township tour.

We stayed at Cape Standard for four nights. It's well located without traffic noise and walking distance to the Waterfront and lovely walks along the beach road. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed and the level of service outstanding. The staff is amazing and always ready to help out with recommendations, reservations and and other useful advise. They really made...

Well-catered for in a triple room, during a quiet stay in the Cape Standard, which served as an excellent base for being out and about in Cape Town from morning to evening. Good breakfast, but the only real variety in the cooked breakfast was in eggs. Pool was small. Nice touches of apples, liquor and pretzels/peanuts laid out in the...

This is our 3rd time at Capestandard, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's a lovely convenient place, within easy reach of the Waterfront. The owner David and his assistant Margot are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. David even ran my husband down to the Avis office because he couldn't get a taxi. The breakfast is one of...

We stayed at Cape Standard for a long weekend in Cape Town. The hotel is in a very nice neighbourhood and within walking distance to the V&A Waterfront (we even walked back after dark from the waterfront). The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are beautiful! And the rainwater shower was so relaxing. The breakfast is superb with different...
