Welgelegen Guest House is a wonderful home away from home in Capetown. The room was so comfortable and the view of Table Mountain was glorious. Breakfast was incomparable (eggs, fruit, breads) and the multigrain bread was so good that they are used to giving away the recipe. We had a friend with a car so didn't need one and used... More

In march 2012 we came at Welgelegen for the 6th time and stayed 3 nights as each year. We like the rooms, the excellent beds, the functional bathrooms with very good products for washing. Our room has an amazing view on the Table Mountain. The two houses are old houses, beautiful and where you feel life since 100 years As... More

The location, near CBD, was great. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed (including current magazines and chocolates), the breakfast was absolutely wonderful, but it was the customer service that I will remember. The staff exceeded my expecations at every turn. Our family will remember this hotel and recommends it heartily to anyone making a choice as to... More

We stayed at the Welgelegen for four nights. It is a great boutique hotel consisting of 2 houses joined by an outdoor courtyard with a plunge pool. We had a family room in the front house that had a separate alcove with 2 single beds for our girls and another alcove with a king size bed for us. The room... More

We were assisted to our room by helpful staff and then treated to a welcoming bottle of champagne, but then there was the breathtaking view of Table Mountain from our balcony. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds, spacious well functioning bathrooms, TV/DVD, and free wireless internet throughout the hotel. Breakfast was served by polite, friendly staff and was... More

We stayed in this guesthouse for 4 nights in March 2012. The guesthouse existed of two adjoining spacious and characteristic houses, connected by an open terrace. In the morning breakfast was served either in or outdoor. Quality of food was very good and fresh. Service of the personnel and the hosts was also very good. Location was perfect, close to... More

I stayed here with my daugther in September last year, and I must say it was one of the most homely places I've stayed at in a long while. The rooms are spacious, the location is great, walking distance to restaurants and Kloofstr with its lovely quaint little shops. The staff are extremely friendly, very welcoming and Fiona is a... We stayed here for 3 nights before moving on and wish we could have stayed longer. The room was really great, the service was top notch and so was the breakfasts. The location is really great allowing easy access to Table mountain and many other places. It is in a really nice neighbourhood so you can head out and find... More

Spent an extremely relaxing, enjoyable and memorable stay at Welgelegen. 6 nights in total, with a trip into the country in between. Fabulous location, excellent welcome and service, super rooms. Breakfast was a delight, the staff were accommodating, cheerful and seemed genuinely delighted to assist wherever they could with extra requests, recommendations for restaurants, day trips etc. Lovely relaxing courtyard,... This guest house is well situated for visits to Table Mountain, V and A waterfront and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens -all just a short drive away. The staff are very helpful and rely on old- fashioned courtesy which complements the place's traditional ambience. Universal plugs in the room proved useful. There is a delightful pool in the sunny courtyard. Will definitely return. More
