This Courtyard hotel is jsut of the N2 on Cape town and a convenient ditance away from the Northern suburbs of Cape town. The Wild Fig restaurant on the premises has a fantastic bar and delicous menu, however it is a bit pricey. Located close to major motorways and Cape town international airport. All in all a good business stay. More

Great find on the outskirts of Cape Town with the most hospitable staff you could ask for. Hotel not more than 10 minutes away from most of the sites. Room was a delight, spacious and well furnished, comfortable with plenty of natural light. Breakfast was buffet style with everything available and the complimentary bar between 5 and 7 pm was... Our family has enjoyed staying at this centrally situated hotel (over weekends, on school away trips and visiting our son who is now studying at UCT). We have stayed here at least twice per annum over a 12 year period. It has been great value for money and has been consistently good. We feel like part of the 'family'! The... More

The only downside to this place is that you need a car to move around but other than that it is a fabulous place. Its built around a lovely garden and lawn and like most chain hotels in SA, is not a high rise. The rooms are really comfortable and cosy and the bathroom is quite plush with all amenities... More

A sample of Cape Dutch architecture, updated with modern and spacious rooms around a courtyard. There is a good view of Devils Peak from the hotel, but the location is difficult, a car is essential. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, and the free drinks/canapes in the lounge in the early evening are really great idea. We met other... More

I liked this hotel. It's arranged round a courtyard, the rooms are large and have kitchens with fridge and microwave ovens if you want to cater for yourself. They only serve breakfast, but the Fig Tree Restaurant is next door (literally -- a two minute walk from reception) and the breakfasts are excellent. Good staff, helpful and well trained. Excellent... More

This place was amazing The Hotel is a little out the way so you need a car to get around The main Valkenburg Farm homestead dating back to the 18th century has been beautifully restored. Breakfast is taken here and this is where the really comfortable lounge/Bar area is. The Suites are not huge, rather just adequate but have everything... More

We've just spent 2 nights in the Courtyard Suite hotel. The hotel has a restaurant, The Wild Fig, attached to it. The food in there is excellent. The suites are well equipped with fridge, micowave, kettle and all the crockery, cutlery and glassware you could possibly need. There is a delivery service from many food outlets operated by one concession... More

Stayed at the Courtyard for 3 nights at the end of a 15 day cricket tour. It was excellent, the service, food and location could not be faulted. We were a group of 50 people and more than appreciated the free drinks and snacks between 5pm and 7pm which were superb. I will certainly ask to stay here on my... More

After a long flight, we arrived at this beautiful historic CapeDutch homestead. Having styed here many times before, we knew what to expect, and the service was still top quality with friendly and helpful staff. The staff offer advice and are happy to book meals or accommodation for your trip. Enjoy having your free sundowners sitting on the stoep or... More
