Wonderful stop-over on the annual Christmas holiday pilgrimage from Gauteng to the Cape, especially if you have grandchildren with you who can enjoy the stars at night, the sheep early morning and, if they're lucky, a passing luxury passenger train. Very hospitable hosts who immediately make you feel welcome, without being intrusive.

We want to introduce this special accomodation to the tripadvisor community where we stayed for one night on our way from Gardenroute to Cederberg. Die Blokhuis is a 100 year old farmhouse, which consists of 5 rooms, which are furnished in farmhouse style and are very cosy. It can be rented for self-catering, but also including breakfast and the owners... More
