The hotel is the perfect place for an overnight stop en route to the Kruger Park. Spacious clean rooms, friendly staff. limited activities for families.

Protea Hotel was excellent for us. Although it is quite distant from the principal points of the city, the bedrooms and the hotel itself is really clean and quite beautiful. My family and I had searched the prices and we found that Protea had the best price. We highly recommend it.

Stayed during WC2010. Hotel is no frills but clean and comfortable. Staff is incredibly helpful and client oriented. They made it a great experience.

We spent one night there, it was exactly what we needed for one night on our way to Kruger from Johannesburg. Room was nice, both bar and restaurant were good, with very helpful and friendly staff. My only reproach is the price, pretty expensive due to the World Cup.
