We stayed at Serenity for 2 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Not being able to communicate with the outside world adds to the forest experience and it's not in the middle of nowhere for nothing. The surroundings are beautiful and the accommodation was fantastic; wooden cabins that have everything you need; staff that clean daily and that come... More

Myself and my partner went to Serenity for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. We had been previously about 2 years before and yet we were blown away by how attentive and special Carina had made the place, having just started there recently. Nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like royalty from having romantic breakfasts to candle lit... More

Let's get this into perspective.... I go to all sorts of great places, and some not so great places with clients on tour as the guide. Sometimes I go with huge groups, and other times with a single, a couple or a family. It's a job, but there is no reason why I shouldn't enjoy it and have fun while... More

A big thank you to Carina (manager) and Gary (owner) and all the friendly staff for a brilliant experience - Brilliant setting, brilliant food, brilliant service! We will go back again and again. This lodge is for people who appreciate nature and "real" people - highly recommended!

Hours before our departure I came across a daming review on this website and I nearly suffered a panic attack. See, during the middle of December we visited a four star graded establishment that was nothing but a disappointment. I was preparing for the worst and an exit strategy should we arrive at the lodge and found the negative review... More

My husband and I have stayed in Serenity just for one night instead of two nights because of the poor maintenance and no opportunity for communication with the outside world accept for a big horn you must use when something should happend! One lodge was (as we think) burned down to the ground and maybe because of the insurance they... More

When it rains it is Dead man's journey to get up on not 12 but 20 km of bad roads. When we finaly reach the lodge it feld we were part of a horror movie. There was one lodge behind the reception that was totaly broken, burned out, we don't know they just did not talk about it. Almost no... More

Great hide away truly in the trees. Could have been amazing but lack of communication -- or ability to communicate -- hindered our stay. There is no way to communicate from room to reception or from the lodge to the outside world. While this level of seclusion may seem nice, it was a bit off putting, especially when they bungled... We chose Serenity Forest for the first 3 nights of our honeymoon, and are extremely glad that we did. It was an absolutely perfect spot for a few days of relaxation to recover from the wedding, before going on honeymoon. Beautifully secluded spot in the middle of the forest - we spent a few days going on gentle walks, having... More
