Coming back for the third time was like always, a pleasant experience. We are starting to consider Plumbago as a ‘home away from home’.Our children won’t even hear of going anywhere else on vacation! We had nine days and beforehand we knew we didn’t want do anything ‘spectacular' this time, just unwind and enjoy a lazy vacation. Still there’s plenty... More

We stayed here in September 2011 with our two adult children. We received a very warm welcome from Robbie and Ilara, the owners of the property. The suites are separate from the main house and overlook the beautiful garden. The rooms are large and spotless. It is a very peaceful location however very close to the Kruger National Park and... With two friends we stayed here for three nights, and just wish we had planned a longer visit. The bungalows in the grounds are well equipped, and a delight to sit outside early morning, tea in hand! We had superb breakfasts and the evening meals would not disgrace a top class restaurant, except that the setting is probably better than... More

Our stay at Plumbago in March / April 2010 was a pleasure - we had no expectations and were spoiled following arrival, without being pestered. The location is truly wonderful - great views (albeit they were as the name implied some of the time!), close to Kruger Park for a day trip and located in a region which is ideal... More

My husband and I were completely impressed with the warm and inviting nature of the owners as well as the lovely room and surroundings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kruger or Blyde River Canyon.

I stayed at Plumbago with friends, and we were completely thrilled with it. It is in a beautiful, idyllic setting, and we loved all the beautiful details in the decoration and design. The breakfast was delicious and set gorgeously. And the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners was unsurpassed.

Plumbago, a charming guest house, located perfectly close to the sights nearby like Kruger Park and Panorama Route. We enjoyed our stay in a wonderful room next to the pool as well as the warmth of our hosts Ivara and Robbie. The breakfast buffet was excellent. There was nothing we missed. We will be back some day.
