We have just returned from 4 days at Highgrove and this is the first time that a guest house ends up exceeding every expectation given by their website. We were given one of the more luxurious suites (I assume) because we were staying for 4 days. No mention was made of our upgrade. We were treated like royalty, the staff... More

I am a frequent visitor to Highgrove house and must stress during my last eight visits I have never experience anything negative about the estabishment. Food is good, accomodation is good, Service is Good and oh by the way the decor is outstanding. Highgrove House is part of an open and fresh air world class estabishment and I am very... More

I'm surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews below, as our experience at Highgrove House was very poor. We stayed for one night on our recent honeymoon (it was recommended by a UK agent, who we have complained to). The only positive thing I can say is that the grounds were lovely and very peaceful. Our room (the honeymoon suite) was... More

Thank you for your feedback provided during your stay with us. As the new owner for the past 3 years of this classic English Country style establishment boasting Persian carpets and antiques, it is regrettable to hear that you experienced some significant product gliches whilst staying over at the Lodge. The staff have worked at the Lodge for the previous... More

We came to Highgrove Lodge in ‘low’ season Sun-Tues break. We got a very good rate for an orchid suite. If you can get suite number 1, it’s more private than the rest. (Pool and sauna) It’s the quality finishing touches that puts this lodge on my places to stay map. I don’t think I have had such good service... More

Jacquie & her son Greg looked after us through out our stay even to the extent of rescuing us when our prearranged car(by UK travel company) for the airport failed to show up they sorted us out on their bank holiday with alternative transport & we caught the flight. On a differnt day Greg took us for a long walk... More

A memorable two night stay. Luxury accommodation with private pool and sauna and a separate sitting room complete with a blazing log fire on a rainy afternoon. Discreet but friendly service and delicious, unpretentious food. No wonder Highgrove has been accoladed as the best small luxury hotel in South Africa. Ideal for visiting the Kruger park - Phabeni gate is... More

Excellent from start to finish, if you want to get away from it all this is the place to go. Its pretty quiet and exclusive, and miles from everywhere so if you want to get around hire a car. The food is fantastic, even breakfast is a highlight. Rooms are seperate cottages with living room,(no TVs by the way!)large bedroom,... More
