The setting of this lodge is like nothing I have experienced before. We woke up in the morning to the hippo's playing in the river. Afternoons were spent sitting in the pool on the deck overlooking the river. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Will definitely be returning. The location is extraordinary, just by the Kruger fance, overlooking hippos and other animals on the Sabie River. Be aware the tents are very simple but clean. Sabie River bush lodge deserves a 5 star rating for its location and absolutely outstanding service. However, the room by itself is at best a 3 star, hence a 4 star rating.
