Amazing. Open-aired spiral shaped showers are incredible! I'm modeling my home shower after my stay here. It may be a tent but it's in no way rugged, comfortable for just about any adventure!

The reception staff seem to have a problem with client's requesting certain tent and bungalow numbers, unlike most of the other Kruger camps where a unit request is their pleasure. In addition the restarant and deli must be the filthiest in the park! Coffee is spilt on the floor and left for hours, lunch is displayed in an open-backed cabinet... More

First and foremost, this is a large government run restcamp and not a fancy/expensive dude ranch type facility. Having said that, it was really quite nice and much better than we expected. We stayed in a small separate unit with no kitchen (but outdoor grill). It reminded me of a 1930s style campground--separate housing units in a huge circle surrounding... More

Lower Sabie was so perfect! Stayed one night in a bungalow with bathroom and the other night in a safari tent. The safari tent was better. The deck where you eat meals? Amazing view! Elephants cooling down, Buffalo relaxing, crocodiles circling... We did four game drives in Kruger- two with Marti. She was really the best--can't say enough good things!... More

As wild life photography is my reason for being I obviously spend a lot of time at Kruger Park. I live in Johannesburg, 3 hours away so Kruger is on my doorstep. Many international tourists ask which part of Kruger Park is the most rewarding ? The answer to that varies on the time of year and what interests the... More

It seems Lower Sabie rest camp is in the process of some renovation, as our bungalow was spotless, roomy and recently renovated, but the communal ablutions were appalling. Definitely need some work there. Sadly we found the Kruger staff rather surly and unfriendly, although quite capable. The restaurant and deck at Lower Sabie are fantastically located (the sunset and game... More

Lower Sabie was the third of the camp the camps that we visited. On first impressions we were very impressed a great reception and well trained and knowledgable staff who dealt with our booking and changes very quickly and efficiently. There is a very large and well stocked supermarket and gift shop and much to the childrens relief an internet... More

I'm a frequent visitor to Kruger Park and love returning each year to Lower Sabie. The recent heavy rains have caused extensive damage to bridges and causeways but the park is on top of repairs and most tar roads and bridges were reopened . Lower Sabie has had little damage and we booked a Perimeter cottage with kitchen and bathroom.... More

Absolutely loved Lower Sabie! It was by far the most breath taking experience of my life. The african tent was a surprise addition to our travels, by my partner, which was exciting - a bit scary seeing a snake as we emptied our car but this was by far made up by waking up from a mid-afternoon nap to the... Thank goodness for Lower Sabie where we spent four wonderful days (a sharp contrast to Satara and Skukhuza!). A great location by the river from where we viewed elepants bathing, crocs, hippo, fish eagles,- also an adjacent dam for lovely viewing at sunset withn 5 minutes of the gate (important to be able to dash back in before lock up)....
