Exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, tranquil location, accommodations, service. Will recommend to everyone I know who is traveling to South Africa for safari.

My aunt and I spent 3 glorious nights at Pezulu. The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. The tree houses are AMAZING, more luxurious than the pictures! The one we stayed in was huge and very private, with 2 decks! It was a very restful weekend with lots of relaxing and reading and the optional game drives in the neighboring...

We had a great time here! So cool to wake up to giraffes outside your treehouse! Great dinner, great people, great value!
Not that bad, but much too expensive for what you get, compared to other similar accomodations (regardless it is a tree house). Game drives are optional and totally far too expensive.
We are traveling for about 10 years to SA and this was our worst stay ever! The old tree lodges are very basic, breakfast is very poor, diner was not so bad, there was no warm welcome feeling.
Finaly, we were stripped by ordering game drives. This lodge asks for a game drive R495pp, this is 2 to 3 times...

I am very suprised about this bad review as I spoke to these guests during dinner in our outdoor boma and they did not complain about anything to me...
"Worst stay ever" sounds very exaggerated. The guests stayed in a beautiful, spacious family treehouse with two bedrooms, one indoor bathroom with a corner bath surrounded by windows, one outdoor shower...

We stayed at Pezulu for three nights in February. We picked the 'Dream House'. It was a bit large for two people, but very beautiful. Very 'African' feel. It has a large deck overlooking a water hole. You can see the animals come for a drink from time to time. Claude took us on a bush walk in the morning....

We had a wonderful experience at the lodge. The tree houses are very unique and different, we stayed for one night and it was an experience we wont forget. Went on morning game walk in the soft rain which was lovely, came up very close to giraffe, also saw buffalo, zebra, wilddbeest, the bush is amazing it was just a...

We stayed two nights - my wife, our twin boys (aged 6) and me - in a newly refurbished tree house, which was spacious and well-appointed. Dinner "in the round" was a new experience - not sure I would have liked it for more than a couple of nights, and there's no real reason not to allow people to change...

Having been five times to Pezulu I guess I know this Lodge like no other.
Lydia and Claude are truly owners with a big and welcoming heart to their guests. They are putting a lot of effort in renovating and/or rebuilding the old treehouses and give each of them an exquisite african touch. The new Marula treehouse is stunning...love it...well...

The game drive is not amazing but it is not fare from the Kruger gate. The accomodation, service, and the owners are just perfect. the breakfast and the diner around the camp were one of the best moment. We sent lof of friends of this lodge and everyone came back with some good remembers
