Spent two nights in March. We ate at the restaurant which was very medioker. The hotel part of Mabalingwe needs an update. Game drives were really disappointing as we saw hardly any animals except Impala. Positive things are the distance from J-burg and the tennis courts.

Just got back from Mabalingwe Nature Reserve....Stayed over the w/end of the 18th Feb 2012. Saw a lot of buck, but no big game. Resort was pretty average. Watch out for the Absailing activity. It is a rip-off. R225 per person for a single climb down a 40m cliff! Won't go back again.

Do not waste your money if it is tranquility you are looking for. The noise from the restaurants extractor fan chases birds away and is so irritating. They are aware of this and promised to have this fixed 3 years ago, clearly they are not concerned.they misinformed us that this was sorted when we booked.
