Generally great value for the money. Silent and intergrated in the nature and close to many things to do. The paddling in the canal nearby was wonderful! Very warm and personal service, it is a homely place and food is not very modern, but totally ok! I would probably return. More

Kingfisher is our "seaside holiday home". With their warmth and hospitality, Sue and Phil have become like family to us over the past 5-6 years. Love the setting, the house and those breakfasts which fuel you up for the whole day! Cant wait to be back again next year! More

A 6 night stay and a different innovative breakfast every day. The muffins were superb. With a range of good restaurants nearby that kept my husband happy whilst my main delight was seeing elusive forest birds up close. It beats seeing a beak or a toe at the top of a tree. I think their breakfast was nearly as large... More

I absolutely loved my stay at Kingfisher Country House and I will never forget it! Phil and Sue are the friendliest and warmest hosts you could ever ask for. They are also extremely knowledgeable about the area and were happy to help my partner and I plan our excursions. The house itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and peaceful on the... More

Sue and Phil welcomed us back to the Kingfisher as if we were family members. The reasons for our return are obvious to anyone that has stayed there........... Wonderful knowledgeable hosts that find the time to give you all the local information you require. Each morning we looked forward to excellent home-made cooking that makes having breakfasts on the verandah... More

Stayed for 3 nights in October of this year. My husband, daughter (5) and myself. Excellent accommodation, lots of tourist information and attention to detail (chocolates on the pillows at night - much to our daughter's delight), fantastic breakfast - all homemade and muffins to die for. Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts and there was so much birdlife in... More

We stayed at the Kingfisher Guest House on Sept. 22, 2011. The room was cozy and spacious. While having a delicious breakfast on the porch, we saw touracos, (lories), chorister robins, sunbirds, drongos, franklins and weaver birds. Many birders would come from all over the world to see these rare birds. They arrive when Sue Millard, proprietor, bangs the ledge... More

Had a wonderful stay with Sue, Phil, Houdini the cat and Tessa the golden retriever. Sue and Phil treat you like family not guests. Breakfast included the best quiche I've ever eaten and wonderful home-baked muffins. Loved being able to watch all the colorful and interesting birds at the feeders and around the lovely garden. We would certainly stay again. More
