I have been staying over at Sica's during my last two trips to Durban. A delightful place very close to the centre of town. It is just far enough to get out of the "City" and still close enough to get to meetings quickly. I like the buffet for breakfast and the fact that there is not such a big... More

Visited this large B&B twice. Rooms were clean and the Friendly staff put on a good breakfast each morning with nothing being to much trouble . Eggs to order and porridge if you wanted as well.Others in our group had a good dinner there too. The location lets this B&B down , It is at least two miles from the... More

I spent 22 comfortable, safe, enjoyable nights on my own at Sica’s Guest House in Mayville (Durban). It was close to the UKZN Howard and Westville campuses where I needed to be at intervals throughout my stay. The room (38) was spotless and well appointed with the only hitches being slightly decrepit plumbing (the shower head was inclined to squirt... More

Location not as affluent as neighbouring Musgrave or Morningside, but that doesnt really matter once you enter the estate. The colonial styled buildings and well manicured gardens create a sense of prestige and calm. Rooms are spacious and clean. Initially our room (42) suffered a broken AC and faulty TV reception but the friendly staff saw to it that we... More

Our group stayed here during a conference. The accommodations were comfortable, the staff friendly and the food very good. Wi-fi was available for purchase but the speed varied greatly and I had some trouble sending and receiving data at times.

I stayed at the sister house, Sica's B & B on Winter Avenue, Durban. Maria and staff were very courteous and helpful in all situations. Area information and B & B procedures are nicely presented in one folder. My room included a hairdryer, electrical adapter and a television; bathroom included personal toiletries and shower and separate tub. Breakfast was well-prepared... More

Sica's is not close to downtown Durban or any tourist attractions, so unless you're with a conference, you'll need a car. I stayed there for three nights as part of a meeting held on the premises. This is closer to a hotel than a B and B, as there are about 40 rooms. Price is reasonable. The premises are very... More

Just back from a 7 day stay at this lovely guest house. We left things a bit late and wanted to avoid the large city hotels and Sica turned out to be a real gem. The local area is not much to look but once behind the driveway gates its a lovely retreat with lots of trees and green space.... More
