I stayed here for 2 weeks after back surgery. I couldn't have asked for a better place to recuperate. The room I had was spacious, the mattress was very comfortable, and there were lots of nice amenities to the room to make me feel more at ease- large shower, lots of towels, fridge, tea/coffee, and a nice tv for ensuring... A colleague of mine insisted that I try The Capital House on my most recent trip to South Africa. I was reluctant to go with the recommendation since I had no complaints about the guest house where I typically stayed. I am so glad I tried it out. What a treat! The room I had was very spacious, with a... More

This is a lovely building beautifully furnished, with a grand dining room, situated in the diplomat's enclave. The staff provide delicious meals and maintain a top "house". Pat, Jaques and their son, Charlie are all very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Pretoria is a very agreeable option to Johannesburg and a similar distance from the airport.

The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed and the guesthouse is located in a lovely, very posh neighborhood. The aroma of warm bread wafts through the dining room every morning and there is often an impromptu gathering over wine and hors d'oeuvres. You can take your... More

From the moment you arrive you feel as if you are staying with family. The atmosphere is inviting, the accomodations are lovely with family pictures and souvenirs from their many travels. The rooms are comfortable and the food is healthy, fresh, and delicious. I wouldn't stay any where else in Pretoria.

All of us have been there. We plan a nice visit to see something new. We want to stay someplace that is comfortable, modern and welcoming. We imagine the large rooms, comfortable beds and a quality staff. Then when we get to the place, it just doesn’t measure up. Maybe all of the amenities are there, maybe everything appears to... More

Stayed for 2 weeks. Very good service. Dinner included on non-holiday weekdays - excellent 3 courses! Very good breakfast everyday - request almost anything you like. Family atmosphere. All guest breakfast & dine together.
