We stayed at the Protea Hotel which undoubtedly for the price was very good, we could acutally see our Airbus 380 from our window :-) The food is reasonably priced, so one can relax in the hotel. Have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past and more recently 8 nights in the past 2 weeks. The service is getting better as time goes on. Rooms are spacious and clean. “Handy to the airport with nice rooms”

Perfect for early morning flights - the shuttle bus was easy to figure out, the rooms decor and layout was one of the best transit hotel rooms I have seen and it has a trendy bar. Internet was very slow or not working. More

The main advantage of this hotel is proximity to the airport. I would only stay here if I had a short layover as hotel facilities are minimal. There is free wifi but there is a limit to the amount of data usage and only certain websites were accessible. The connection was also too slow to open attachments. Our room was... More

This is a new modern hotel that opened just before the 2010 World Cup. I only stayed one night in September 2011 on my way back to Cape Town from Zanzibar. Initial experience was not good as it took three attempts to get me a room that was ready to receive guests (this with an 18:00 check-in). “great relation cost/efect close to the airport”

close to the tambo airport, with transfer, PAY ATTENTION, transfer just until 11pm, and start at 6 am, so look close to your flight time, the breakfast is not inclued, but the airport is just the next door. More
