I booked Lamunu Hotel due to the excellent location in Downtown Johburg. If you have to work in Braamfontein business district, the Lamunu – by the way- now called easyHotel.com its an nice option. It’s perfectly located on 90 de Korte Street at the Corner to Melle street. The Hotel looks like recently refurbished, but in a most economical way.... More

I enjoyed my stay at Lamunu Hotel. I went to an event at Bassline which is a live music venue, 5 minutes drive from the hotel. Lamunu Hotel is not ideal for stays longer than 2 nights. The beds were comfy and the rooms and the hotels decor is bright and striking. The staff at the bar , very friendly.... More

What an exciting area Bramfontein is. Especially on weekends it is perfect to explore the new downtown markets. Also public transport is ample, so amazing spot to start exploring. Hotel amenities are all encompassing, helpfulness of staff is good but with room for improvement.

I had to cancel my stay at this hotel (even without getting a refund) after 2 nights stay,I was supposed to stay 5 nights. The building is in a crowded area of Jo'burg CBD, reception area always crowded with people who are not lodgers, with a lot of noise. The hotel does not have any reserved area, the restaurant is... My young daughter and I stayed at Hotel Lamunu this past week. I left with mixed feelings. The rooms were great, as far as the decor and layout, except the aircon did not work and with 35 degree heat was unbearable. I also had to contend with an endless noise of the lift which sounded like a small aircraft winding... More

Loved the Lamunu Hotel cause it provides just what you need: a very good bed, black out curtains and nice (big) shower. And on top it's nicely designed, a gem for your eye. And it had a flatscreen with three moviechannels, lovely for a lazy day. Provides breakfast with buffet or a la carte (a la carte has some nice... More

I went with my wife to the Lamuna, she having been booked in there by a conference organiser. What does it say of a hotel that has white wheel hubs on the wall as decorations! Lots of 'style' but very little substance. Area of reception under construction with no apologies. Rooms are OK for one (small bed) and have no... More

We stayed in hotel for one night because our apartment was being painted. Amazing value, great rooms, comfort, quirky and friendly. I would recommend this hotel as a base for visitors to Joburg, as they put a lot of effort into helping people explore the city. We stayed a Friday night. 8am on saturday we had coffee at Doubleshot (best... More
