Our 3-night stay at Msenge Bush Lodge was our first game reserve/safari experience, and it exceeded our expectations on almost every point. The main lodge building is a doughnut-shaped thatched building housing the restaurant, lounges and other general facilities around a circular open space with a central fire grate. All beautifully done. The large veranda looks out over a wide... More

Stayed at Pumba for 3 nights in May 2013. When we arrived we were welcomed and told that, as there was only two couples staying in the lodge that big, we were to have our evening meal at the Mnegne Lodge elsewhere on the reserve. Little disappointed by this as this was a good 15 or 20 mins drive away.... More

An amazing first time Safari experience at the Water Lodge with a traditional beautiful room with traditional thatch roof, large beds, bath overlooking the river, and inside and outside showers. Our guide, Howard assisted in making this a memorable experience helping locate all the animals we wanted to see and providing us with a good understanding of the African Bush.... More

We actually stayed at Pumba in March 2012 (bit slow in writing our review!!!!) for 3 nights and it was faultless! We had booked the Water Lodge, but got upgraded to the Bush Lodge. Our room was gorgeous, panoramic views, bathroom was bliss and the outdoor shower refreshing. The food at Pumba was fantastic and the staff were all so... More

Stayed in the Bush Lodge for three nights at the end of doing Cape Town and the Garden Route but should have stayed longer. We'll have to come back. The whole experience was fantastic and, apparently Nelson Mandela stayed in our lodge! Our ranger for the drives, Jean was knowledgeable and always seemed to keep us out longer than scheduled... We stayed at Pumba for the last three nights of our 3 week trip to SA having started at Cape Town and arriving via the Garden Route. We were accommodated in the Msenge Bush Lodge and our room was so spacious and as well as inside shower we also had an outside shower which was a real treat after the... More

Our family (two adults and children aged 12 and 14) stayed at Pumba from 1 to 4 April 2013 after a week in Cape Town. We want to get some really special holidays under our belts before the children get to that age where they don't want to be away with mum and dad, and this was planned to be... More

The last three nights of our honeymoon were spent at the Msenge Bush Lodge and we could not have asked for a better end to our trip. Our room was fantastic, amazing location and the dining areas, snug and spa were fabulous, as was the food which far outwieghed our expectations. The staff from the rangers to the hospitality staff... More

We visited Pumba Game reserve for 3 nights in early April on an all inclusive basis, staying in a Water Lodge. It took about an hour from Port Elizabeth and was easy to get to. Our room in the Lodge was huge, and had a bed in the middle of the room, a bath in the room and a separate... More

Such a special place, the food, the views, the safari and ranger were superb. The room was stunning and staff couldn't do enough for you , I would recommend this to anyone. We saw lions, rhino, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, giraffes. All close, they are in their natural habitat and respected like they should be. Amazing place
