No longer in the old jail, Whethu is a bit out of downtown Grahamstown. The facilities are pretty basic, but this is a developing country. Rooms are tidy and decent, Paul is a great cook and has plenty of stories to share. Actually, all of the "lost boys" are characters, and that's probably what makes this place interesting and worth... “Spend your night in a cell...”

Unique experience of spending a night in a 182 year old refurbished prison cell, complete with graffiti scratched into the cell walls--great fun. 3 bed room was small, but surprisingly warm and comfortable, even in winter.
