From the moment we arrived at the Blaauwbosch estate we were amazed by the surroundings. Our first encounter with the animals was when we walked into the main lobby and saw a giraph in the garden. Fantastic! A good start of our 3-day stay at this lodge. Everything was well taken care off, from the waking up service with fresh... More

I went for my 50th and it was a magnificent present. The whole experience was fabulous from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The service was great, the food was glorious and the accommodation was lovely. We might not have seen all the animals but thats because they are not in pens. If you want a non... More

I have been here in august 2005 and I remember a wonderful place! Next january I will be back, I think it is an excellent solution in a malaria free area (very important if you travel with child), the service in very good and the food very accurate. I remember I had no lunch included in the half board but... More

Our room was not cleaned once for the 3 days/2 nights that we there. Now as you can imagine having a baby that wears nappies... Not very sanitary having your bin overflowing with baby nappies! My husband mentioned this to the manager (?) and she apologized, but nothing happened. We arrived at the lodge around 1pm and were told that... More

Stayed in Kaai's camp for 2 nights early November and wished it could be 2 weeks! From the moment we arrived to leaving every detail was perfect. The staff could do not do enough to help and were so friendly without being in your face. We were so glad we picked Kaai's camp over the main camp as the setting... More

We travelled along the Garden Route from Cape Town and ended our 16 night trip with 3 nights here. We enjoyed our whole trip to South Africa but Blaauwbosch was an absolute highlight. The staff and service went above and beyond and the setting is beautiful. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Our game drives were brilliant and our tracker... More

The lodge feels rooted in the landscape despite being 8 years old. The very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff will make your stay special. The rooms are spacious - we loved the quirky touches like a decanter of sherry in the room as well as the thoughtful additions like electric blankets turned on for us (night game drives were cold... We felt very privileged to have this game reserve to ourselves for one of the two nights that we stayed- the staff were excellent especially our guide and tracker who could see meerkats from miles away! The lodges are very spacious with large picture windows looking out into the reserve- just perfect.

We stayed at Kaai's Camp for three nights. All four of the large suites were very private and large with beautiful views of the valley and animals moving between water holes. With friendly, professional staff who are only too happy to modify one's food choice to suit our personal requirements meal times were perfect. Our guide and tracker were brilliant.... More
