Stayed at Jacob Lake Inn one night enroute to the north rim. Given some of the negative comments in TripAdvisor, I had low expectations. Completely unfounded. I stayed in the "motel", room 109, and it couldn't have been more pleasant. Room was clean, bright, spacious and most comfortable. There was nothing Spartan about it. Even during a busy check-in period,... More

Pictures on the website were deceiving. It is much nicer than it appears online. Staff was very nice and helpful. Bakery is outstanding. More

My experience at Jacob Lake Inn with my son for two nights(May 10 and 11, 2012) was an outstanding and a wonderful experience. The hotel room, with balcony, was very clean and comfortable for my son and I. The food in the restaurant was very good(mountain trout). The service by the hotel and restaurant staff was outstanding in every way.... More

We planned a road trip to this area, travelling with another couple. The web site promised a motel unit with attached but separate rooms...perfect for us. When we arrived, the desk clerk informed us that the building was not open yet for the season, and the room confirmation had been a mistake (theirs). We asked to see the manager to... More

Jacob Lake Inn is a step back in time. And for those spending the night, that "step back in time" is not always seen as a good thing. 5 Star it isn't. But the decor in the dining room will absolutely get your attention, and the food is good, too! The gift shop has both the "t-shirts and trinkets" to... More

I booked a king room online 10 days before our arrival. We arrive, and John at the front desk says "we don't have a clean king room, we have to put you in a double queen. Ok!" I said" I made the reservation over a week ago, how long does it take for you to clean a room?" John said"... More

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the very cute little lodges. They are certainly very rustic and small but I really liked staying here because I think it’s really right for where you are. They are basic, no TV etc and there’s not much room if you have lots of luggage like we did but I would still... More

I visit Jacob lake 2 times a year .. in April still very cold and probably going to snow..hotel or motel only..no cabins and no North Rim..until mid May..Small staff..just what you would expect for a seasonal operation in the off season ..( you can get 2 motel rooms for $55 night) as the North Rim is closed through the... We chose Jacob Lake Inn because it is about as close as one can get to the North Rim without being in the park. We stayed the night before entering into the park in order to have a very short, quick drive the next day. We really enjoyed this little stop. I read a lot of reviews on Jacob Lake... More

Jacob Lake Inn has a great location for visiting Grand Canyon's North Rim, it's about an hour's drive to Bright Angel Point and Grand Canyon Lodge. The inn is a bit worn down with pricy snacks and souvenirs, and the restaurant and breakfast counter are also a bit on the pricy side. But for one or two days while exploring... More
