Did you see the movie "Cars"? Remember the Wigwam Motel that was owned by the cute Porsche from Los Angeles? Well, it exists on Route 66 across the street from the Globetrotter Lodge, which is great because the Wigwam is on the National Register of Historic Places and is very photogenic while the Globetrotter Lodge is very comfortable. Stay in...

Great, simple classic motel rooms decorated with Southwest kitsch. The rooms have been completely re-done. The place looks like a rustic 60's drive up motel on the outside, but is very tidy and clean inside. Great basic continental breakfast with super fresh bagels and local jams. The overall Route 66 experience is great. We were driving across country on I-40...

We stayed there in April. Everything was great, hospitality, clean rooms, great decor, comfortable beds, good location and great value for your dollar. We missed out on the breakfast, only because we left to early in the morning. If you're staying in Holbrook and enjoy the Route 66 fun, stay here. There are a few other places to stay which...

The owners are from Austria and took over the roadside motel after 10 years of neglect. They have 10 rooms currently open and are working on more as the money comes in. The whole place has been renovated from the plumbing to the electric. Each room is restyled and redecorated to a western flavor. We had the room with the...

Lovely little place, nostalgic, quirky with friendly staff, we did try the wig wam motel across the road first which was full but in the end really enjoyed the globetrotter which was not as near the train lines so less noisy, Holbrook was a nice friendly town, would visit again

We booked Globetrotter based on TA reviews and glad we did. While the accommodations are basic, the rooms have been nicely redone and are quite comfy. Went to front desk to ask for ice bucket and knife to cut up an apple and the owner arrived at the room door with both by the time I was able to walk...

The Globetrotter Lodge was clean, nostalgic and wonderful! I'd go back in a heartbeat! The little pool area is great and it's a close walk to the rest of Holbrook, which is a lovely town to visit. The owners are nice and they have recently redecorated. Whilst the redecoration has given the place a new lease of life, the nostalgic...

First of all: why is there a good side of Hopi Dr? All the hotels, motels etc. on the other side of Hopi Dr are situated between the street and the very busy Santa Fe railroad line, which means that, while at Globetrotters you hear the occasional train engine whistling on the bad side right next to the train tracks...

Looked on Trip Advisor for a clean place to stay enroute home from Phoenix spring break. The Globetrotter had good, interesting reviews. I know there aren't many decent hotels on this route & have experienced enough "Travel Lodge" style places that I was ready for something different. This fit the description. It's funky, eclectic & most importantly - very clean....
