4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2013 NEW

As part of our Route 66 journey, we wanted to stay in some of the iconic hotels along the way. This was one of the few, however, that coincided with our planned itinerary. Yes, it's a novelty, and you wouldn't want to be over 6 feet tall when using the shower, but we enjoyed a perfectly comfortable one night stay.... More

Went with our six year old daughter and loved it! The rooms are very spacious and clean! Very quiet even though located on historical route 66! Our daughter felt she was in the cars cartoon from Disney and had a super time. Well worth the experience, great value for money!

When I was young and newly married we drove past the Wigwam Motel on our way to our new military home in California. I remember telling my husband that I wanted to stay in the wigwam some day. 43 years later we did! We brought our 34 year old daughter and sister in law with us. We had two wigwams... More

I always like to find strange places to stay whenever I go on a road trip and a few years back I stayed at a Wigwam. It was cozy. The concrete Wigwam kept the room very quiet at night. It's small but that was expected. I enjoyed my experience.

I think its great this place is still around. Dont expect luxury. The Wigwams are clean and cozy. No coffee maker or hairdryer so bring your own. Theres a great Safeway Grocery very near for restocking your cooler. We stayed one night before driving through the Petrified Forest on our way to Sante Fe.

My husband and I stayed here for a night while travelling Route 66 . What a great experience. Wigwams were roomy and bed was comfy. This place is basic accommodation but everything is clean and tidy. Wi-fi is virtually non existent in the rooms,, but it is available at the reception lounge where there is a sofa, flat screen tv... More

The main claim to fame for this hotel is the fact that every room is made up to look like a teepee (not a wigwam) from the outside. It is on one of the stretches of old route 66 that still has that old feeling. I was expecting the room to be cramped but it was cozy and large enough.... More

We didn't mind the tiny bathroom - it was to be expected - but we did find the lack of a 'warm welcome' a bit strange. Compared to other iconic Route 66 motels, it just lacked that warm friendly welcome that we'd grown used to. Having said that, our room was better than expected, and we enjoyed our stay. Holbrook... Vintage cars in the parking lot. Your own private Wigwam had everything you needed including cable TV and AC. Great lobby, nice people and right on Route 66. Walk to Joe and aggie's,up the street for dinner.

I know I'm repeating a lot of what others have posted, but the 5 stars in this review are a product of the ultra-fun experience of staying in a piece of Route 66 living history - not the luxury of the room. That said, the room was certainly up to par, if maybe just a little small. But, for the... More
