We chose Takaoka and Ryokan Daibutsu, because we couldn't find anything available in nearby Kanazawa at a budget price on short notice. It turned out to be convenient to the JR train station. Bath and toilets were down the hall, but we hardly saw anyone else while we were there. There was a beautiful koi pond with a waterfall outside...
