Pluses: - 7 days in Egypt without stomach upset has to be good news. - Clean, generously sized rooms - sea view and size depend on your package - Staff friendly and helpful at all levels. - Excellent diving and snorkelling, the reefs begin as soon as your toes are in the water - Nearly no children. - Many guest... We went here at the end of July for a dive holiday with Regal Dive, 6 weeks ago we wrote to them detailing the negative aspects of this hotel & dive school as they requested, but they have shown no interest as yet. We have been to Egypt at least 15 times each and this trip was by far the... More

Had a great two week holiday at Lahami Bay with my husband, who is a very keen diver. The hotel is broadly the same as the first review I wrote. Coral still amazing, snorkelling great. Diving excellent. I had a brilliant time, drinking loads of wonderful, freshly squeezed orange juice, swimming in the fantastic pool and generally relaxing. Rooms are... More

I have just spent another 2 weeks at Lahami Bay - this is my tenth visit. I keep going back because the hotel maintains excellent standards and the snorkeling cannot be beaten in Egypt. There are so many turtles, Napoleans, rays and reef sharks that I no longer bother to photograph them! The coral is colourful, varied and in pristine... More

I noticed very mixed reviews on this resort and indeed you must be absoltuely sure what you are looking for to be perfectly happy. If you think you are going to spend some time in a nice, luxurious beach resort, will get to know the surroundings, have delicious food served in romantic restaurants, and have access to lovely "carribbean-style" beaches,... This is my 7th visit to Lahami Bay and I just keep going back! The snorkeling is by far the best ever in Egypt - sharks, dolphins, eagle rays, guitar sharks and so many turtles that I have stopped photographing them! The rooms are large and well equipped and the staff are excellent - friendly and efficient without being too... More

Fantastic resort in a lovely place. Excellent service and organization. Top class diving center inside. Room very clean, large and confortable. It is not a valid location for young people looking for a night life. Very quiet hotel. Excellent food. More

I have a very different experience than Adamasyn, I have been three times to this hotel in the last 6 or 7 years each time for two weeks in different periods (January, August) and I have always found staff and particularly the management very friendly and efficient. Same when I met Ms Wolf at the Boot diving fair in Dusseldorf... More

Lahami Bay beach resort is nice and very quiet place, but has only one usable for swimming beach which is rather far from majority of hotel villas and has not enough sun umbrellas. The other two beaches are not suitable for swimming - water upto knees only. Rooms are big and clean, but some of them have not sea view... More

We spent 7 days at Lahami Bay Resort in Hamata between 16 and 23 April 2008. The hotel was excellent overall, in terms of accommodation quality, environment, service and activities. What we particularly liked: • Attractive low rise blocks, all overlooking the meticulously kept gardens, with full or partial view of the sea. Very spacious room, with a comfortable king... More
