The rooms were basic, clean, warm and comfortable. There was free wifi which was nice. The Schnitzel at their restaurant is very good. Even if you don't stay here, I would recommend stopping in for the Schnitzel. Also, it is family-owned and the staff is very friendly and helpful. More

If you're staying in Talkeetna for a night or two between Denali & Anchorage, Swiss-Alaska is a good place to stay. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately only had one night for Talkeetna, but made the right decision to stay here. Easy to find, nice room and family run, and what a great family, helpful, friendly, informative, just flat out nice. Would definitely go back here if I ever get the chance. More

I recently spent a week at the Alaska-Swiss on an extended business trip. The setting is quite pleasant, located in forested suburban Talkeetna. We stayed one night with our teenage daughters and found the hotel very comfortable and very clean. We stayed in the main lodge, room was small, but adequate. Beds were good. Staff was pleasant and helpful, dining area was warm and nicely decorated with wireless internet. 2 minutes drive to main street downtown. More
